About the role

Our Catering Assistant are based in Old Bar, our old school pub serving pub classics and the Leeds-famous potato stacks.

As a Catering Assistant, you'll support the smooth day-to-day running of our catering operations. You'll help prepare and serve high-quality meals, maintain excellent hygiene standards, and ensure a friendly, welcoming environment for all LUU members.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for team players with an enthusiastic approach to their duties, great communication skills, the ability to be innovative and creative, alongside a willingness to learn new skills. There are fantastic opportunities to develop your skills through in-house training courses, allowing good future career prospects.

Applicants do not need to have previous catering experience to apply; you will be fully trained for the role! In order to make sure we can get you trained up and feeling confident in the Kitchen ahead of some of our busiest days, we have set fixed date when all successful candidates will need to start in the role and attend training. Please ensure you review the dates carefully and are certain that you will be able to attend at least one of the compulsory induction session before you apply otherwise you may not be able to start with us.

Please note, if you are successful, you will be required to attend one of the following mandatory in-person inductions dependent on availability.

If you receive an offer and are unable to attend an induction session, we will not be able to offer an alternative start date and we will offer to place you in our talent pool.

We recruit for this role using a talent pool system. This means that we are continuously filling positions throughout the year. Individuals who are successful at interview in oversubscribed areas or unable to attend the mandatory induction session may remain in the talent pool for up to 6 months and may be contacted in the event that there are available positions. We cannot guarantee that you will be offered a position within 6 months if you are placed in the talent pool.
