About the role:

We're looking for two Events Operations Assistants to work within the LUU Venues & Events team supporting the development and operational delivery of a vibrant and diverse entertainment programme. You’ll also be supporting the Venues & Events management team in the development of a dynamic and stimulating experience as our team evolves and continues to grow.

Tasks will include managing ticketing, setting up décor and acting as a representative of the venue, helping the Venues & Events team to maintain high standards of delivery throughout commercial events. You will also help to promote events using social media and various other marketing channels, to build the brand and maximise attendance for our events.

The role will be contracted for 12 hours per week, and will require you to work every Friday night when Fruity is taking place or other live music events. There is also an opportunity to work on larger scale events throughout the year such as Leeds Ball. You will be primarily spending your time working at Fruity and Gigs; however, we could require you to also be in the office during the week.

This role is a great opportunity for those wanting to take the next step in their events career or those wishing for a new challenge. The role will mainly be operational with development opportunities throughout the academic year such as training, job shadowing, and wider organisational involvement in key projects and initiatives.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative people who have previous experience of working within an events or venues environment. The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to think on their feet.

What you get in return

The benefits you can enjoy include holiday pay, extensive opportunities for learning and further development, NUS TOTUM Card, onsite venue staff discounts, discounted travel card, and discounted gym membership.
