What is a School Rep?

A School Rep is a volunteer student leader empowered to make positive, student-led change within your School.

They represent the views of students in your School and work alongside Course Reps, Faculty Officers and staff to make your School better. You can learn more about the role here.

They improve the academic experience of all students by taking student feedback to meetings and events with staff from the University and LUU, as well as informing students of positive changes made. You can learn more about Academic Representation at Leeds here

Which Schools are recruiting?

  • PGT Food Science and Nutrition
  • PGT Geography
  • PGT Earth and Environment Rep (Climate, Environmental Sciences and Earth Sciences Programmes)
  • PGT Earth and Environment Rep (Sustainability Programmes)
  • PGT Institute for Transport Studies (2 positions available)

Please note that ‘UG’ means that the position is for undergraduate students only and ‘PGT’ means that the position is for postgraduate taught students only. 

The PGT Earth and Environment School Rep role is divided into two categories based on the programme groups. The categories are Climate, Environmental Sciences and Earth Sciences or Sustainability. If you are unsure where your programme falls, please click this link to see the grouping of programmes.

How to apply

If you've checked the list above and your school is recruiting, please complete an application form by clicking 'Apply for Position' below. If your school is not listed above, then they are not recruiting at this time and you cannot submit an application.

The deadline for applications is 13 October 2025 at 23:59 and interviews will take place in the weeks commencing 13th October, 20th October & 27th October 2025 (these are subject to change, depending on the number of applications) with the possibility to choose a time slot and choose either online or in person interviews.

Please note that the position is not remunerated.

Closing Date: Monday 13 October 2025 at 23:59.

Interviews will be held between 16 October 2025 and 31st October 2025 (provisionally) with the possibility to choose a time slot and choose either online or in person interviews.

The duties of the role will officially commence in Term 1 of the 25/26 Academic Year. Further information will be provided to successful candidates.
