Are you a driven, engaged student with a passion for improving the educational experience of others in your Faculty? Looking to gain experience in advocacy, representation, and change making? Want to develop your networks and work alongside senior staff in the University for the benefit of students? We want to hear from you!

What we're looking for

LUU and the University are recruiting a number of student leaders to act as Faculty Officers within the student voice system. You will lead a team of School and Course Representatives to understand the views and issues faced by students, and use these to advocate for positive change within the University’s structures.

  • Faculty of Arts Humanities and Cultures- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate
  • Faculty of Biological Sciences- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate
  • Leeds University Business School- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate
  • Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate
  • Faculty of Environment- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate
  • Faculty of Social Sciences- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate
  • Faculty of Medicine and Health- Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate

*Successful candidates will receive a £1,000 honorarium payment, in instalments spread across the academic year to pay for your time.

Interviews will be held between 24 March and 11 April 2025 (provisionally) with the possibility to choose a time slot and choose either online or in person interviews

Start Date: The duties of the role will officially commence at the start of the term in September 2025 however, there will be a day long Student Rep Conference in the week commencing 12 May 2025 which all appointed Reps will be expected to attend. Further information will be provided to successful candidates.
