About the role - Expression of Interest for internal candidates

The successful candidate would work within the LUU Student Programmes and Events team to lead the development and delivery of LUU student programmes, focusing on initiatives beyond the traditional Clubs and Societies model. This includes expanding the 'Give It A Go' programme, overseeing student-led projects through the Student Ideas Fund, and managing student spaces such as Crossroads, our gaming hub.

Some of the main responsibilities would include:

  • To project manage annual programmes, using resources effectively, including the preparation and management of budgets taking account of ethical and environmental considerations.
  • To lead, organise, coordinate, and manage programmes with students' groups and internal teams.
  • To progress existing and new programmes with key stakeholders, finding new and innovative ways of ensuring student sense of belonging.
  • Lead the operational development, implementation and evaluation of LUU's student programmes, aligning with the organisation's ambition to create fun, celebrated, and vibrant student communities.
  • To lead on projects such as The Give it a Go Programme, Student Ideas fund and Colour Run.
  • To manage the development of a range of student and staff led Give it a Go’s that appeal to our marginalised student members
  • To effectively line manage others, enabling them to achieve high standards in all aspects of their work.
  • To provide full administrative support, including invoicing and minute taking.

We are looking for confident project manager with experience managing complex events and programmes and with a passion for developing student engagement programmes!

The position is predominantly office based, working mostly office hours, but will allow a percentage of Hybrid working. This role also requires applicants to work some weekends and evenings.
