About the role

Are you passionate about creating safe and welcoming spaces where everyone can thrive? Leeds University Union (LUU) is looking for a Health and Safety Officer* to join our vibrant and diverse community. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in supporting a huge range of activities—from commercial venues like bars, cafés and shops, to student-led clubs and societies including sports, dance, theatre and everything in between. Every day is different here, and your expertise will help ensure that all our operations and events are run safely and with confidence.

We support thousands of volunteers and over 300 student-led groups, and your guidance will help them deliver exciting, engaging activities in a way that puts wellbeing first. You’ll develop and implement health and safety policies and training that are not only legally sound, but practical, empowering and easy to follow—supporting our mission to make sure every student loves their time at Leeds.
