About the role:

In this role, you will work within the Faculty Engagement Team to deliver an effective academic representation system tailored to postgraduate, international, and distance-learning students. You will recruit and support student representatives, analyse feedback to drive positive change, and help coordinate union-wide events such as the Leeds Partnership Awards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day administrative support, including data management and report writing.
  • Research and analyse key issues affecting postgraduate and international students to inform Union initiatives.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of student representatives.
  • Assist with the planning, operations, and promotion of team events and activities.
  • Create digital communications, manage social media output, and maintain up-to-date web content.
  • Gather and analyse feedback from representation schemes and major events.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and digital channels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as follow structured instructions.
  • Solid IT literacy across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and cloud-based platforms.
  • A passion for student-led environments and academic representation.
  • Flexibility to work occasional late nights or weekends as needed.
  • Desirable: Prior experience in administration, event coordination, customer/stakeholder engagement, or data reporting.
