Full time; 36.5 hours per week. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work operational shifts on a rota basis with the remaining contracted hours to be fulfilled during the standard office hours of 8:45 to 17:00.*

About the role

Leeds University Union is looking for an experienced and motivated Production Lead to oversee and drive the delivery of high-quality technical support across our exciting range of events. From live music and club nights to student theatre and campus-wide celebrations like Leeds Ball, you’ll be the go-to person ensuring everything runs smoothly- managing people, tech, and planning equally. You’ll play a key role in advancing shows, maintaining and repairing equipment, and collaborating with teams to turn ideas into flawless live experiences. 

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least two years of technical experience in entertainment venues, a passion for live production, and a proactive, hands-on approach. You’ll manage a talented team of Senior Technicians, guide resource planning, and play a central role in our innovative student-focused projects. If you’ve got the tech skills, leadership drive, and a flexible, can-do attitude, we’d love to hear from you.
