About The Role

As our Sports and Fixtures Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting LUU’s award-winning student-led Clubs and Societies programme, recently voted number one in the UK. The success doesn’t stop there, as our clubs recently won both the Christie Cup and Leeds Varsity! You’ll enable sports clubs to compete in national and local sports competitions and events, whilst working with the team to ensure they are resourced to be competitive, deliver results, and have fun.

You’ll be embedded in the Student Groups team. This role is central to the organisation and administrative support of the student Sports teams and Clubs representing Leeds Sport in competitions such as British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS), Varsity and the Christie Championships. The Sports and Fixtures Coordinator will lead the day-to-day administration and coordination of the individual Sports Clubs, collaborating with the University of Leeds Sport and Physical Activity Department (SPA).

About You

You must be highly organised, confident in coordinating scheduling between multiple stakeholders and meeting deadlines. Key to succeeding in this role will be your ability to build relationships with others which will enable you to respond effectively to challenges. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to network with colleagues across the sector such as the BUCS regional meetings.

You’re also able to manage multiple tasks at once, and confident using digital tools and systems. You have a good understanding of sports clubs and competitions. Most importantly, you’re excited by LUU’s vision and values and want to contribute to a vibrant, inclusive student community.
