Want to work with underrepresented students working in partnership to make change across the Union, University and the city of Leeds?

We are looking for a Student Communities (Liberation) coordinator at LUU. You will work alongside the Democracy and Liberation Manager, leading on developing and delivering liberation engagement projects, supporting liberation societies, and coordinating History Month activities.

This is a great time to be joining LUU and be part of our new Political Engagement Team, motivating and empowering our students to create positive student-led change across campus, the city and the country.

What we're looking for

As you will be supporting student-led campaigns and supporting elections with a particular focus on amplifying the voices of underserved student communities at Leeds University, you must be passionate about widening participation in representation and campaigning activities in Higher Education.

Working closely with the Equality and Liberation Officer, you will support the new Liberation Student Committee for the year ahead, you will develop training and deliver engaging activities to kickstart campaigns aiming to increase equitable educational outcomes for students at the University of Leeds.

Other projects include the development, delivery and maintenance of the Liberation Hub, a space for LUU’s Liberation students to come together, relax, and interact with LUU’s activities and offer to students.
