Are you a University of Leeds student who wants to work with us to focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of students whilst they’re at events? If so, the role of Wellbeing Event Rep might just be the perfect role for you. We’re looking for people to work together as a supportive team to run our innovative, welcoming and safe wellbeing space at nighttime events, and promote the space both in person at events and via social media channels. You’ll be supported by the LUU Help & Support, Events & Programmes teams, Security Coordinators and University of Leeds Campus Security.
Our ideal candidates will be passionate about the health, safety and wellbeing of students and have an understanding of the issues surrounding these. You will also have a positive, can-do attitude towards new challenges and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Also vital will be your ability to communicate effectively and sympathetically with a wide range of people, some of whom may be distressed and in need of assistance.
Full training will be provided, giving you a great opportunity to develop your skills in project creation, active decision making, influencing and partnership building whilst making a difference to the Leeds student community, helping them to love their time at Leeds.
We do need candidates to be current students at the University of Leeds who are continuing into 2025/2026, and can commit to working at all Fruity events during term time (10.30pm to 4.30am, with some flexibility will be given around exam time) and the Leeds Ball (June 2026, date to be confirmed).
What you get in return
The benefits you can enjoy include holiday pay, extensive opportunities for learning and further development, NUS TOTUM Card, onsite venue staff discounts, discounted travel card, and discounted gym membership.
The people and culture at LUU are often cited as the top reason why people enjoy working here. You will be part of an organisation that not only values but champions inclusion and diversity.
