What we're looking for

This role is based in Venues Bars, where you will experience a range of shifts from gigs, themed clubnights such as Fruity, and a multitude of other events in the union. The majority of shifts are evening shifts – so if you are a night owl, this may be the role for you!

We’re looking for team players with an enthusiastic approach to their duties, great communication skills, the ability to be innovative and creative, alongside a willingness to learn new skills. Applicants do not need to have previous bar or catering experience to apply; you will be fully trained for the role. There are fantastic opportunities to develop your skills through in-house training courses, allowing good future career prospects.

Gigs and Nightclub Bar Assistant Application Pack

Please note, if you are successful, you will be required to attend a mandatory in-person induction day on Tuesday 29 April 2025 at 11:00am - 3:00pm. If you are successful and unable to attend the induction session, we will not be able to offer an alternative start date and you will be placed in our Talent Pool.

Successful candidates will additionally be required to be available to work Leeds Ball which is due to take place on Saturday 7 June 2025 with an earliest start time of 5:00pm and latest finish time of 5:00am.

We recruit for this role using a talent pool system. This means that we are continuously filling positions throughout the year. Individuals who are successful in oversubscribed areas or unable to attend the mandatory induction session and shift detailed above may remain in the talent pool for up to 6 months and may be contacted in the event that there are available positions.
